By J. Mingle
I love the design of this comforter. Not only does it seem well made, it's really heavy weight and warm; not like some of those from the store that are filled with fluff and cost the same amount! The colors on the internet differ some from the real colors, but it's still beautiful. The picture shows the greens as the dominant color, but it's really the browns/tans that are dominant. Must be the lighting. It does have to be dry cleaned, so really wouldn't be a good choice for those who have animals that sleep with them! Or for those with cats(which I have) that like to pad down alot. I have to chase mine off the bed daily. The pillow shams are REALLY BIG (I have the King set) and I'm having a hard time finding large enough pillows to fill them without paying an extreme amount. I haven't used the bedskirt because I have a low profile bed, so I can't comment on how it looks other than the picture here. It's a beautiful set and I'm happy with it.

I have been looking for a quality comforter for our California King bed. This particular size is not only difficult to find, but if you do, it never seems to fit correctly. This comforter fits perfectly is well made and is the perfect color. I couldn't be more pleased with this product and would highly recommend it.

I bought this set and would easily have given it 5 stars had it not been for the fact that the first comforter set I received had many noticeable, what-appeared-to-be snags. It was as though the fabric had been swished across a very coarse surface. But Amazon came through and shipped a replacement immediately. The second one I received is PERFECT and oh so beautiful! It has interesting quilting that I noticed while the comforter was still in the packaging and wondered if it was a manufacturing boo-boo. It wasn't! The quilting theme is a kind of 'sparsely scattered circles'...very sophisticated and doesn't shout 'girlie' at all! Nice touch! The loft of the comforter is exceptional. It challenges my elderly reach when I fold and store it nightly, but there's always a price to pay for beauty. And the colors are s-o-o-o-o soothing! I had an inexpensive, pearlescent, aqua vase that I was determined to use in my decorating scheme so I was pleasantly surprised that the aqua in the comforter set compliments it very nicely. My monitor depicts the aqua as being much lighter than its true dusty, medium teal, but I'm not in the least bit disappointed. The fabric is infused with velvety sections and some of them are in aqua. The reflecting light impacts the aqua's color value and makes it a real eye-catcher! The remaining colors transition from light tan to dark chocolate and are heavenly. Simply gorgeous!I read a review that said something about the bottom of the comforter not being sleek enough to sleep under. It's not silky smooth, but it's not scratchy, either. It's just what it should be to back a quality comforter. We'll never use it as a blanket anyway. It's strictly for ambiance. The bedskirt is presenting a slight problem because the white, connecting surface reaches too far over the sides of our box springs, but I don't know whether to fault the bedskirt's dimensions or the box springs'. It's not a huge concern and I'll just do a nip and tuck the next time we flip our mattress. My king-size pillows don't fill the shams to the brink, but they don't fully stuff the matching sheet set's pillowcases, either, so I think I have more of a pillow problem. I actually prefer the shams to have a little flexibility. It's easier for me to display them so they don't look too staged. In addition to the comforter and the matching sheet sets, I also bought three accent pillows, valances, and Euro shams. I am not unhappy in any way with my decision to invest in the whole shebang.
