I was very skeptical about ordering this bed without seeing it, and because there weren't any ratings. The price made me even more skeptical of the quality and stability.This bed has been amazing. It is extremely durable and very good quality. It shipped in three fairly heavy boxes but they were easy enough to maneuver alone. I was able to put this bed together by myself (female, average build) in about 3 hours. Be ready for recycling because each large box is packed inside of another large box! We have them set up as two separate beds, using the shorter top bunk with the rails as a toddler bed for my son. The coating on the wood is very durable and does not scratch or chip easily. I would easily recommend this bed to anybody looking for a larger bunk bed but you don't want to spend top dollar for it. This bed is a steal.My only complaint is the predrilled holes on the top of the headboard and footboard were slightly deep so I had to reinforce them with wood glue.

This is a big, sturdy bed. I have a 12 inch mattress on the bottom and an 8 inch mattress on the top. Would not go more than a 9 inch mattress on the top. Parts are well labeled but make sure you match your part numbers to the instructions or you will be disassembling and reassembling similar looking parts. Assemble it where you want to put it and make sure you have room to spread out all the pieces. This bed does not wobble. You might want to consider not putting it in a corner - sheet changing is not easy.

This bed is cheap thin wood and I regret buying it. Not sturdy and makes me nervous with my kids on it. If you are looking for something that is going to last I would not buy this.
