I read the reviews about this mattress pad and thought I would really like this item if it really did work. So I purchased one and I must say after using it for a few weeks my bed is no cooler than it was without the pad. I am so disappointed because I thought this pad was going to be the answer to my hot bed problem. If you are considering buying this item I would tell you to forget it! It does not work and $180 for a mattress pad that does no more than cover your mattress is a bit steep! This pad does not do what it claims!! If I could have given it no stars I would have....

The tag indicates that the product should be washed on gentle cycle and dried on medium. I followed the tag perfectly and the backing of the pad was melted when I pulled it out. When I called the company to tell them I want a refund, she informed me that the packing slip which may or may not have been in the box indicated that i should dry the product on low or medium and they are not responsible for any damages done by the dryer.Me: So the packing slip that was in the box i got 6 months ago said to dry it on low or medium?Them: The tag says the same thing as the packing slip.Me: The tag just says medium which is apparently too hot on some dryers.Them: Correct. That's why we say we are not responsible for damage done by dryers.Me: So why doesn't the tag just say low? If you know medium can be too hot? So I don't get a refund?Them: Unfortunately, you are outside of your 30 day warranty.Me: So you indicate that the product must be washed and dried before use but you also say you are not responsible for what happens when you follow your own instructions?Them: Correct.CRAZY!After buying a memory foam mattress and sweating to death for a couple of nights, i was willing to do anything to get a good night's sleep. This mattress pad seemed expensive but I tend to be one of those suckers who believed price is directly linked to quality.It works for the most part, at least for a couple of minutes. After laying there for a while, you are just as warm as you started and have to roll over to a new cool spot. FIND A DIFFERENT PRODUCT ACTUALLY SOLD BY AMAZON. AT LEAST THEY BACK THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL.

I was super excited about getting this product. The first night, I could genuinely feel it cooling my bed, but it smelled nasty (even after washing it once). We pulled it off and washed it again and it never again worked. As someone else indicated, it claims you can dry it on medium, but you can not. Once you dry it, it fails to work any longer. Trying to dry this on air fluff takes hours. Basically it was money thrown down the drain.
