I bought this comforter set in January, including the matching Euro shams. The set is lovely, my bed looked like something out of home and gardens. In March my son had an accident in my new beautiful bed. The directions on the comforter said the set was machine washable, I hand washed the comforter and put in the dryer on low setting for 20 minutes. I checked on it to make sure it was drying and was in total shock to see that the filling inside had melted in several areas. The fabric was stuck to the melted fiberfill. It was hard and smelled of burned plastic. I contacted Echo Designs via email and explained what had happened. I promptly received a return email from Suzanne in customer service asking me for both photos of the comforter and my receipt from Amazon. I explained to her that the damage was on the inside of the fabric and that it was not something you could see on the exterior. I then called the number she left to better explain things and of course had to leave a message...she never called back. She sent an email asking if I've tried to return the product to Amazon...ummm no Amazon didn't make a faulty product your company did, and also saying that I'm more than welcome to send the comforter, at my own expense 30$ by the way, to their quality department and if they deemed so they would replace it. No apologies...no verbal communication...no label for shipping. Never again. I paid $200 dollars for a comforter I got to use for 2.5 months. Don't do it, just don't do it. BTW Amazon was totally understanding and sympathetic.

The colors are great on this comforter set... I'll give it that. But the comforter itself is crap. It was crunchy and crackily (weird, I know) in the inside for large portions. You could also feel these portions tearing on the inside, too. This was right after taking it out of the bag. We gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought that washing it may help. We took it to the local laundromat because it was king size and would not fit in our home machines. The wash went fine, except that the comforter still felt bad in those same spots. After being in the industrial-sizes dryer for ONLY 8 MINUTES ON PERMANENT PRESS THE COMFORTER WAS SMOKING AND VISIBLY BURNED on the parts which were already crunchy/crackily. Dumbfounded we took it out and went home.I've bought $50 bed-in-a-bag sets that are much better than this comforter. It's a shame, too, because the colors are great, and the shams / bedskirt are good and what we expected. Now we will need to shell out some more money for the duvet cover instead. Don't waste your money on this junk. IF YOU DO, THEN YOU, TOO, MAY SOON BE THE OWNER OF A BRAND NEW $200 PIECE OF FIREWOOD FROM ECHODESIGNS. We will soon be requesting our money back. I'd give it negative stars if I could.****UPDATE: I'd like to make an addendum to my review, which is that we purchased the duvet and it is great and what we expected. Definitely go for that and not the comforter set.

I was hesitant to purchase this product because I had read another review on a different color of Echo bedding describe the set as a bed in a bag. This set is far more than that. It is very soft - not at all scratchy. The colors are great - vibrant but not too overpowering. I'm not sure how the comforter will hold up over time, but, for now, I'm extremely pleased.
