This listing is for an eastern king sized headboard. It will fit an eastern king sized bed as well as a California king sized bed. The headboard is slightly wider than the size of a California king mattress, so the headboard may overhang the sides of the bed. This headboard features very dark espresso, almost black bi-cast leather material on the front of the headboard. The top of the headboard stands 47" tall and it is 80" wide. This is a beautiful, very dark brown cushiony leather headboard that is low profile and comfortable to lean against if you like to read at night (it's slightly arched). We love it. It fits our King size bed perfectly, and we had it attached in less than 30 minutes. (I don't have a California King, but a regular King.) To me it is the color of espresso, which is not black, but a very dark brown. Nice leather, looks great without overwhelming the room like some of the larger, higher headboards. I highly recommend! It arrived in 2 days with Amazon prime shipping, in perfect condition.

I was a little worried about buying a headboard on Amazon, but I'm glad I did. After reading the reviews from other people I decided to go for it. I am so glad I did, this head board is soft and comfortable, perfect for leaning on in bed to read or watch T.V. I have gone to so many other places and they were sooo expensive. If you want a headboard that is good quality and beautiful, I recommend you buy this one!

Overall, I am happy with this headboard, especially for the price. Looks leatherish, feels faux but not thin. Color is very dark brown, not black. It was easy to assemble; comes with a cheap little wrench that works well. I have not attached it to my metal bed frame yet, but it is solid against the wall and comfortable to lean against to read in bed. It is not tall. When sitting on my bed, the top of my head is higher than the headboard. I just measured it: 78.5 inches across the top of it. 46.5 inches tall from the floor up, that includes the legs. The height of just the headboard itself without the legs is 21.5 inches.
