Exactly what I needed

My mattress was too firm, so I'd been sleeping on two mattresses stacked on top of each other, like the Princess and the Pea, for two years. And then I decided to move. Silly me for leaving behind one of the mattresses...After the move, I wasn't sleeping well on my overly firm IKEA Sultan natural latex mattress, and I woke up with a sore back every morning; then, to add injury to insult, I hurt my shoulder and *really* couldn't sleep.I'd slept on other feather beds before and thought that that might be the solution. I tried a few options in a mattress store before buying this one through Amazon, so I knew that I wanted (a) a soft down top to protect me from stiff feather quills, (b) box construction to keep it flat and not lumpy, and (c) as much loft as possible (not just height--the density of the feathers makes a big difference). This one answered all my needs, and I've been sleeping like a baby ever since.

We have a very uncomfortable mattress and ordered this feather bed to try to soften up the bed. It works great! Very comfortable and thick!
